20x200 Art Prints

I'm drooling over the prints at 20x200, a Web site that brings artists' work to the public at affordable prices. Artists get to share their work with a larger audience and art lovers with thin wallets can build an art collection. Commendable and fabulous!

A few pieces I'm contemplating:

Old Typewriter by Todd McLellan. Awe-some.

Vintage Erasers by Lisa Congdon. Love the script on these erasers!
This also reminds me of revision--a necessary skill in any discipline.

Casino Employee's Day by Jeremy Kohm. Hyper-real scene.
Reminds me of something you'd see in a George Saunders story.

  1. Might I recommend a Melbourne, Australia-based art e-zine called Lost at E Minor (http://www.lostateminor.com/). They have a pretty good mix of media, including music. A heck of a lot less incestuous than Juxtapoz by far.

The thing that pisses me off about them though is they'll describe this amazing painting or something, and then they give a crappy 500x500 pixel thumbnail of it. Clicking on it just runs you in link-referral circles throughout their website. Grrrr..... >:(

Still, they have a pretty nice e-shot you can sign up for that pops up in your email 3 times a week or so.

And yes, they HAVE had articles on jewelry :)
