Wildfang!

Portland-based retailer WILDFANG is currently carrying a selection of Knuckle Kiss double finger rings! I think they add a lady-like toughness to Wildfang's signature tomboy style.

The Wildfang website is always evolving with fresh product and new lookbooks to inspire your wardrobe. Check it out and, if you're in Portland, visit their brick and mortar shop!

Holiday Season Recap: Part II,Crafty Wonderland

Ben and I enjoyed our time in Portland last month!

Before setting up for Crafty Wonderland, we visited Amelia, a fab shop on Alberta street that carries some Knuckle Kiss pieces.

And while we were in the area, we enjoyed some epic, belt-busting, biscuity, gravy'd towers of heart-stopping delight (see right) at Pine State Biscuits.

After setting up our booth, we visited with friends who took us to Bollywood Theater, which serves small plates of Indian street food. It was so delicious I forgot to snap the obligatory food pic.

When we weren't sating our Portland food cravings, we were over at Crafty Wonderland. I'm so happy we had the opportunity to take part! It's a beast of a show and the organizers do a fantastic job putting it together and coordinating the 200+ vendors. Big props to the Crafty Wonderland crew.

So many cool customers and supporters of handmade and indie design! So many covetable wares from amazing vendors!

We treated ourselves to a few things, which I'm sharing pics of below because they are awesome and I think you'd like them.

Set up on Friday evening. The show took place in a huge hall the Oregon Convention Center.

Mid set up....See that Urban Cheese craft booth?
I have a cheese-making sample from them that I need to try.

I bought some sturdy poles for my dip-dyed drapes. I have my mind on dying another backdrop for summer
because I am a crazy person with a Rit-Dye obsession (ask me about my wedding decor).
Some of my favorite new pieces (L to R):
Crushed Pyrite Ring, Tekton Ring, Crushed Pyrite Studs, Soft Spike Double Ring

Horizon Rings

All of the Santa Clauses came to visit.

A well-deserved gin & tonic

This drawing made by one of the kid vendors is my favorite purchase.

Detail of a gem & crystal print by Scout & Whistle

Leather and Pendelton wool bags by Appetite
The sisters who create Appetite graciously accepted a jewelry trade for these bags.
So cool (the bags and the sisters)!

And that's it for now, ya'll! Thanks for reading.

Cheers,
Angela

Holiday Season Recap: Part 1, Patchwork

Happy 2014!

I've had little time to collect myself after my whirlwind holiday season and momentous 2013. But I want to share some photos from last month's shows before we get too far into the New Year.

I did two craft fairs last month: Patchwork Santa Ana and Crafty Wonderland in Portland.

First up, Patchwork

Ben and I had plans to visit my family in California during Thanksgiving, which coincided with the Patchwork Show in Santa Ana on December 1st. My sis, who lives in Orange County, is a Patchwork veteran, having sold Mandalanda, her collection of accessories, at several of their events. So we teamed up and applied to the Winter show together. And we got in!

Here we are sharing a booth space. A cute dog caught our attention, thus the turned heads!

Mandalanda makes bags, wallets, and other accessories from old hardback books!

Clever card holders/wallets by Mandalanda.

A shot from early in the day. Ah, the blue beauteous sky, my low vitamin D stores ache for you.
My pops and his new Sweet Perversion tote bag.

Look! People wearing sandals, shorts, and sleeveless tops! In December! Because it was nearly 80 degrees!
Patchwork had mobile pop-up shops and food trucks, like this dope book mobile.

Stay tuned for photos from Crafty Wonderland! I hope the New Year is off to a great start for you.

Cheers,
Angela

Oddmall Seattle 2013 Recap

Some booth pics and favorite finds from Oddmall Seattle 2013!

Me and Rocio, my booth mate

I picked up one of those Fox prints from rocio prints.

The Jaguar is my next rocio prints purchase! www.etsy.com/shop/rocioprints

Goodies!
Rocio picked up this fantastic print by artist Eric Petersen. His work is so well done and clever! www.ericpetersen.us.com

And the cutest butt award goes to this illustration by Stasia Burrington! What a talented
gal! I picked this up as a birthday card for my husband. (Hopefully he doesn't read this
before his birthday on Monday!) www.stasiaburrington.com

My friend and her family stopped by Oddmall and picked up this Cat Donut from Marnin Saylor! They had THE BEST
booth at Oddmall. www.marninsaylor.com

End of Summer Update

At the end of summer, I often feel as if I hadn't done enough to enjoy it. I didn't camp like I thought I would or go on any big trips. But I tried to be productive when it came to Knuckle Kiss.

It's like that Aesop fable about the ant and the grasshopper. I tried to be more like the ant. Fingers crossed for a bountiful fall and winter.

A few weeks ago I dropped off a batch of jewelry at Twilight Gallery and Boutique in West Seattle. I'm thrilled to have some pieces in their boutique, which features a great selection of jewelry, cards, accessories, prints, and more.

Twilight also has a rotating exhibit of artists in their gallery space. The current exhibit is the Iconic Women Series by Kristina Griffith and it's beautiful.

"Jaguar" by Rocio Arreguin 2013

And, a week from today, I'll be vending at Oddmall: Emporium of the Weird with my friend, Rocio Arreguin! She makes fabulous illustrations and paintings.

I'm loving her new series of anthropomorphized animals framed by wonderfully rendered graphic patterns. It's gorgeous work and you should come to Oddmall and see it if you're in town.

Oddmall will feature over 150+ vendors selling odd and unusual arts and crafts, carnival-esque performances, and a fleet of food trucks. It'll be a fun way to kick off fall.

I hear there's a costume contest, so if you're itching to try out your Halloween threads, here is your chance!
